Dear Marshall Family,
I wanted to make a few announcements this afternoon. I also want to thank you for your continued support and I hope that your family is well in this new year.
First, I want to acknowledge that I, myself, am still processing the disruption of our government yesterday. At Marshall, we will lean into this event in an academic context. In addition, our counselors are available to meet with students to support those who continue to be impacted. Our location makes yesterday’s events even more personal since many of us have family or friends who work in our government. We will continue to support one another and accept that a range of emotions will exist within our community. Please know we are here to support your children.
Second, in the event that you are unaware, on Tuesday night, the School Board directed Dr. Brabrand to pause bringing students back to school until questions about the current plan can be further processed. When I am informed of that plan, I will certainly pass it along immediately to everyone.
Third, I wanted to clarify the January schedule for everyone, so we are on the same page.
