December 15, 2020
Dear Marshall Family,
I wanted to send you a few messages prior to the beginning of winter break.
Catch-Up Day
- This Wednesday, December 16th has been designated as a Catch-Up Day. This means that students will not be assigned any additional or new work. Instead, they have this day to make-up any work they have yet to turn in. Last week, we gave students time to plan their day and decide what work they will complete and turn in. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to speak with their student about their outstanding work and their plan for this day.
Teachers will be available for office hours according to the following schedule:

Student Work Over Break
- Per our normal practice, teachers have been asked not to assign work to students over break that is due immediately upon our return. Particularly, this year, students need time to decompress and relax. The earliest any work can be due to teachers will be Thursday, January 7, 2021.
New Bell Schedule
- We are currently working on a new bell schedule that will be implemented upon students returning to school. A new schedule is necessary to incorporate 4 lunches, time for cleaning the cafeteria and classrooms and a few other items that need to be accommodated. Please stay tuned for more.
Finally, I want to thank for your patience, understanding and, most importantly, your support of your student and our school. There is a bit of sunshine on the horizon and I am very hopeful that soon the clouds will lift and lead to a brighter 2021. I wish each and every one of you a happy new year and safe holiday season.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey D. Litz
Principal
