Dear Marshall Family, I hope this message finds everyone well and enjoying the summer. I wanted to send an initial message to everyone with some important dates and information prior to me sending my opening letter at the end of next week. I am very much looking forward to seeing everyone in the near future! Important Dates August 17th – Statesmen Start

September 27th – Freshman Class Parent Coffee – 8:30 am – 9:30 am September 29th – Sophomore/Junior Class Parent Coffee – 8:30 am – 9:30 am October 6th – Senior Class Parent Coffee – 8:30 – 9:30 am Fall Sports Tryouts Fall Sports will begin on August 1st. Below are the tryout times for the 1st day of tryouts for each Fall sport. Do not forget to make sure all required forms are turned in by Friday, July 29th. In order to tryout on the first day.

JV/Varsity- 6:30-8:30pm Head Coach- Mike Carroll @email Physical Collection Night We will be having a “Physical Collection Night” on July 29th from 4-6pm in the cafeteria. Any student who would like to play sports this year can bring in a physical dated after May 1st. Physicals can also be brought to the school's Activities Office anytime between 8am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday) throughout the summer. Physical Form The VHSL has changed the physical form for next year. If your child plans on playing a sport next school year, it must be on the new form and be completed after May 1st of this year. Each family will create an account and from this account, can register their student(s) for various activity and athletic opportunities. While registering does not guarantee a spot on the team, this information will help to ensure your student is ready to go on the first day of tryouts. Students can be registered for one or more activities throughout the year and families can sign in as needed to update information. Please note the following:
The new site is available here: https://georgecmarshall-ar.rschooltoday.com/viewmyaccount Immunizations Effective July 1, 2021 all students entering twelfth grade are required to receive one dose of the Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY) administered at age 16 or older, and prior to the beginning of school. Twelfth grade students cannot begin school in August without proper Meningococcal documentation. Without evidence of this vaccination, your student will be withdrawn from school. If you have already provided documentation, please ignore this announcement. Please provide one of the following documents as soon as possible:
Immunizations are available from your student's healthcare provider or the Fairfax County Health Department. The Health Department clinic locations and hours are available online at: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/health/immunization/school or by calling 703-246-2411.
