In-Person Mock SAT Test - February 5, 2022
The PTSA, in partnership with NovaStar Prep, will host an in-person, proctored Mock SAT test on Saturday, February 5th at Marshall High School. The cost is $25 and students will receive a detailed analysis of their test scores. This is an excellent way to prepare for the SAT test.
Open to all GCM students.
Several times each month, students have an opportunity to work with our teachers to complete classwork, homework, test corrections and prepare for long-term projects. Each session, there are teachers from the core classes (Math, English, Science and Social Studies), as well as staff who can help students in the areas identified below. Learn more about Saturday School and view this year's schedule.

High School Students: Register for the Instruction 2 Industry Career Expo
High school students can join us for our upcoming regional career exploration event and participate in live virtual sessions held every night starting on Monday, February 14 through February 17. You will learn about a wide variety of potential career paths and post-secondary options that will prepare you for the next chapter of your educational journey.
In-person Attendance at Athletic Events
Due to the continued high rate of COVID-19 transmission, we will continue to limit in-person attendance at athletic events to coaches, athletes, and the parents of both the home and visiting teams through Friday, January 28. All FCPS high school sporting events are available online on the NFHS Network where you can create an account and subscribe and follow to begin watching.
Virtual Town Halls - Mask Requirement
Many of you have questions about our mask requirement. Please join us on Zoom for the first Virtual Town Hall from 7 - 8 p.m. on Monday, January 24 or for the Spanish Language Town Hall from 7 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25. Please register to attend.
Unvaccinated Athletes Register for COVID testing
All high school student-athletes participating in FCPS athletic programming who are not fully vaccinated between the ages of 12-15 or between the ages of 16-18 with a medical or religious exemption will be required to submit negative COVID-19 test results to the Director of Student Activities at the school on a weekly basis in order to participate in sports for school year 2021-2022.
Report safety issues online or by text message using the Safety Tipline. You may choose to identify yourself or remain anonymous.
Anticipated Bus Delays
Due to the bus driver shortage, we will be increasing “double back” bus runs, meaning a bus is required to run two scheduled routes back to back that would normally have been covered by two separate buses. These “double backs” may impact delivery time to schools or bus stops and may have a domino effect, affecting after-school drop-off times.
